| PURPOSE |
To provide a Best of Breed trophy, known as the Susan D. Phillips Memorial Trophy, to be presented in the ring at the National Specialty Show; and/or in any calendar year to grant an award or awards to the person(s), association(s) and/or corporation(s) whose work and efforts are deemed to have been outstanding quality and benefit to the Association, the Norwegian Elkhound Breed and/or dogs in general. With permission of the family, this was later modified to include an award for each of the following: Top Winning Bitch, Top Winning Dog, Top Winning Obedience, Top Winning Junior Handler, Top Agility Dog, Top Producing Bitch Awards, Top Versatile Norwegian Elkhound, Top Versatile Norwegian Elkhound Excellent, Top Outstanding Versatile Norwegian Elkhound. In addition, permission was granted to donate to the National Specialty trophy fund as needed in any given show-year to offset trophy losses. |
| WHEN AWARDED |
The awards are presented at the annual Awards Banquet as noted above under “Purpose”. |
| FUNDING AVAILABLE |
The income from the trust may be used to obtain the trophies/awards to be presented. |
| WHO DETERMINES |
The granting of any such trophy or award shall be at the sole discretion of the Association by a majority vote of the directors present at any duly called and held regular meeting. |

| PURPOSE |
To grant an award or awards to be known as the Miriam Phillips Educational Trust Award or Awards, to the person(s), association(s) and/or corporation(s) whose work and efforts are deemed by the Association to be, or have been of outstanding educational value and benefit to the Association, the Norwegian Elkhound Breed and/or dogs in general. |
| WHEN AWARDED |
At its fall meeting the board of directors will name a recipient or recipients, in accordance with the trust agreement, to receive a cash award or awards before December 30. |
| FUNDING AVAILABLE |
The income from the fund shall be used to fund the award or awards. |
| WHO DETERMINES |
The granting of any such award or awards shall be at the sole discretion of the Association by a majority vote of the directors at any duly called and held regular meeting. |

| PURPOSE |
To provide an award to be known as the Ed Schlesinger Outstanding Service Award, to the person or persons whose work and efforts are deemed by the Association to have been of outstanding quality and benefit to the Association and/or the Norwegian Elkhound Breed. |
| WHEN AWARDED |
The award is presented at the annual Awards Banquet. The Ed Schlesinger Outstanding Service Award Committee has the sole discretion to determine how many awards, if any, will be presented each year. |
| FUNDING AVAILABLE |
The income from the fund may be used to purchase the Award(s), along with any additional amount approved by the Association’s Board of Directors from its general funds. |
| WHO DETERMINES |
Immediately following the NEAA Annual Meeting the President of the Association will appoint the Ed Schlesinger Outstanding Service Award Committee. The Committee will consist of one person who is a member of the Association’s Board of Directors and two Association members who are not members of the Board. |
| OTHER INFORMATION |
The Committee may solicit written nominations from members of the Association by giving notice in the July/August issue of the Association’s newsletter. |

$100 cash and a Norwegian Elkhound mold. |
| PURPOSE |
To provide an award to be known as the A. Wells and Catherine S. Peck Award, to the person or persons whose work and efforts are deemed by the Association to have been of outstanding quality and benefit of the Norwegian Elkhound Breed. |
| WHEN AWARDED |
Presentation of the Award shall be made at the annual Awards Banquet or other organized gathering conducted by the Association in conjunction with its National Specialty Show held in even numbered years. The A. Wells and Catherine S. Peck Award Committee may not grant more than one (1) award or it may elect not to grant any award in any Association even-numbered year. |
| FUNDING AVAILABLE |
A suitably engraved plaque, or a reproduction from the donated Norwegian Elkhound mold, may be given as an Award. The income from the fund may be used for this purpose, along with any additional amount approved by the Association’s Board of Directors from its general funds. |
| WHO DETERMINES |
Each even numbered year, immediately following the NEAA Annual Meeting, the Association will appoint the A. Wells and Catherine S. Peck Award Committee, consisting of two members of the Association who are not officers or directors, and one member of the Association’s Board. |
| OTHER INFORMATION |
Solicitations of nominations from members of the Association shall be made by notice given each year in the Association’s newsletter that is published for the months of July/August. |
